The FBI is investigating reports that an “incendiary device” was thrown at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement building in downtown Atlanta on Tuesday night.
There were no reports of injuries or significant damage resulting from the incident, the FBI confirmed in a statement.
“FBI personnel and evidence response technicians are on site collecting evidence,” the statement said. “There is no known threat to public safety at this time.”
Video footage posted online shows law enforcement officers and crime scene tape stationed outside the building.
The facility in downtown Atlanta also houses an immigration court.
ICE did not immediately respond to an email requesting comment Tuesday night. The Atlanta Police Department directed all inquiries regarding the incident to federal authorities.
